As part of several interventions to improve the incomes of pig value chain actors through marketing arrangements and a sustainable integrated technology package in Uganda; ILRI set out to implement and evaluate an integrated package for improving pig productivity and performance, through a PigSmart digital platform for farmers participating in the market arrangements. As part of this platform, ATTA implemented the Gross Margin Calculator (GMC) facilitated by village-based agents to help farmers to visualize and understand the performance of their business enterprises.
