The FSSFS project supports sustainable improvement of food security, nutrition, and livelihoods to build resilience among vulnerable households and their communities by increasing targeted households’ income through improved agricultural production, mainly focusing on the palm dates value chain, and livestock production.
The objective of the collaboration was to strengthen the capacity of the Ministry of Livestock of the Puntland State of Somalia to monitor the status of the livestock in the state of Puntland in the Federal Republic of Somalia, through the deployment of a PET methodology as a rapid and quantitative Livestock Body Condition Scoring methodology as well as the improvement of the system of data collection and analysis.
